چکیده

Multifocal ectopic premature Purkinje-related complexes syndrome is a rare form of arrhythmia involving the entire His-Purkinje system (HPS), characterized by frequent polymorphic ventricular contractions (PVCs) relatively narrow QRS, which could be arising from HPS and associated with high probability dilated cardiomyopathy. We presented clinical courses 6 pediatric patients multifocal syndrome. The charts all diagnosis in our institution were reviewed. was diagnosed 2 newborn infants 4 adolescents unrelated families. Two them medical refractory incessant tachycardia underwent multiple catheter ablations complete resolution one. Both had pacemaker therapy for ablation induced heart block. Four medically treated successfully: One propranolol; one ivabradine; flecainide. Pathogenic SCN5A mutation detected should considered children PVCs QRS. Ivabradine or flecainide can reduce burden. In severe cases, provide cure albeit risk

OBJECTIVES The aim of this study was to describe a new familial cardiac phenotype and to elucidate the electrophysiological mechanism responsible for the disease. BACKGROUND Mutations in several genes encoding ion channels, especially SCN5A, have emerged as the basis for a variety of inherited cardiac arrhythmias. Multifocal cardiac Purkinje cell tumor in infancy.

Cot death is the commonest form of death among babies in the first year of life. The authors report the unusual case of a 2-month-old female infant dying suddenly and unexpectedly in whom a postmortem histological examination demonstrated a cardiac multifocal Purkinje cell tumor. Necroscopy studies of sudden infant death should always include an accurate histological examination of the cardiac ...

Purkinje Cell Cytoplasmic Antibody (PCA-2)-related Chorea–Dystonia Syndrome

There are several causes of adult-onset chorea, with Huntington’s disease (HD) being the most common. We report a patient who developed a complex movement disorder consisting of chorea and dystonia associated with caudate atrophy on brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) because of a paraneoplastic etiology that can be easily confused with HD. He was found to have elevated titers of Purkinje ce...
